Our “Viva Mexico” Cap takes inspiration from Mexican Independence Day, the phrase “Viva Mexico” originated from the “Grito de Dolores”, a speech given by Priest Miguel Hidalgo on September 16, 1810. Hidalgo’s Speech called for racial and social equality for Mexicans and encouraged the people to revolt against Spanish colonial rule. This hat, “Viva Mexico”, honors the resilience and unity of the Mexican people and the political oppression they fought so diligently to be freed from.
